I'm taking a class from Susan Tuttle. She teaches this on line. The current class is a quickie, for Christmas cards, but the regular class teaches how to use these layers! She's great, look her up! I too want to know how to use my Adobe Elements, but very hard to get started, now I can at least tinker in it! Have fun.

lisa, if you haven't already figured it out, there's a tutorial on how to do this on the right hand side of my blog. (roben-marie smith's ttv tutorial. those frame thingies are called ttv's for 'through the viewfinder'

i think we probably work too much and need more play time... : )

Open your original photo, drag and drop your frame onto a layer above your original photo. Go to the layers box in your side bar, in the blending mode box, which by default will display normal, select multiply and there you have your frame around your original photo.
