Yes I'm talking about the new Copper clay.Everyone has seen the Bronze clay created by Bill Struve, well he's done it again and created Copper clay.
I was very luck to be one of the testers of the copper. Its been so hard for me not to mention this. I've been so excited about it!
So I spent several days in Atlanta with Anne Choi creating things with the Copper. We love it!
Okay so let me show you a few pictures.........
These two are resin bezels.
This is a new toggle design that will have riveted pieces to it when finished.More pics of that to come.
This is copper chain with pmc3 silver links, all fired together! Have I said I love this stuff?
Bronze clay on the bottom and copper clay on the top.I think this will be a ring......The two pieces will be riveted together and then I'll solder on the band that will be made out of pmc3 silver.I just love the whole mixed metals. So fun........And finally here is the prickly heart that I just posted on my etsy shop.I made the original piece in the copper clay then Tony made a mold of it and cast it in shibuichi.
Copper piece......
And the cast piece in shibuichi......
So thats it for now.I'm working on several more new pieces and I'll share them with you as I get them done.
This is so exciting! Thank you Bill Struve......

Wow, this is GREAT news about copper pmc. I can't wait. Does it fire the same way as silver, or more similar to bronze? Thanks for sharing.
You fire the copper in the carbin like the bronze, but it fires at 1650 for 3 1/2 hours. I love it!
This is my first visit to your blog and WOW! The copper clay looks spectacular. I'm a copper fanatic and what you've created with it....drool worthy!
I'm loving this process and product!

Great Work, some of the best I have
seen around!
OK, I think it may be time for me to upgrade to a bigger kiln that can hold the bronze tray so I can do all 3!! PMC2, Bronze and now Copper!!!!!
